Makeiah, originally from West Philadelphia, has always carried a deep-rooted passion for art, creativity, and design. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Fashion Merchandising, with a minor in Business and a Studio Arts Certificate, from Immaculata University. She later completed her Master’s degree in Clinical Community Trauma Counseling with a specialization in Art Therapy at Thomas Jefferson University.
In her therapeutic practice, Makeiah embraces a humanistic approach, offering a safe and supportive environment for healing. She integrates her background in the arts with clinical training, inviting clients to use visual expression and creative practices as pathways toward growth and self-discovery. Makeaiah works with children, adolescents, and adults, and has a particular passion for supporting young people navigating challenges such as trauma, identity, body image, family dynamics, and peer pressures.
Beyond the therapy space, Makeiah is committed to advocacy and empowerment. She believes in creating spaces where clients can not only heal but also thrive, discover their strengths, and envision new possibilities for themselves. With a strong foundation in expressive arts therapy and training in EMDR, Makeaiah brings a unique blend of compassion, creativity, and clinical expertise to her work—helping clients find their voices and honor their stories through art.
