Begin your journey of mastering EMDR Therapy with our Approved EMDRIA Basic Trainer. This two-part training, complete with 10 hours of consultation, will guide you through the multifaceted approach of EMDR, helping you facilitate profound healing in trauma-impacted clients. Designed for busy professionals, the training can be delivered entirely online or in-person with blending lectures, discussions, and hands-on exercises. You can start applying EMDR with clients right away and begin the certification process. This training is for licensed mental health professionals and master-level graduates who are on the path to licensure. Current 2nd Year Graduate students are also welcomed.

The immersive component in Benin is not merely a backdrop but an integral part of the training, providing a profound context for understanding and addressing historical and racism-based trauma through EMDR. Here are a few examples:
Ganvié: The resilience of this stilt village, often called the "Venice of Africa," highlights themes of survival and adaptability, enriching discussions on resource development.
Ouidah: A pivotal site in the history of the transatlantic slave trade, offering a poignant setting for exploring our collective and historical trauma.
Porto-Novo: Its rich Afro-Brazilian heritage offers a lens through which to examine cultural identity and the impacts of diaspora, contributing to culturally sensitive EMDR practice.
Abomey: The royal palaces of the historic Dahomey Kingdom provide a context for discussions on power, resilience, and processing complex traumas.
Advanced Training and Continuing Education Credits:

During this 2-day workshop, participants will begin to integrate the principles of the Liberation Health Framework into their EMDR practice. This is an opportunity to learn EMDR Therapy Protocols for Early Intervention & Ongoing Traumatic Stress - with the most research in the EMDR Early Intervention and Ongoing Traumatic Stress field with nearly 50 articles. For clinicians that work with clients experiencing prolonged adverse experiences and/or ongoing traumatic stress, they will walk away from this training with the confidence and theoretical knowledge to know exactly how to conceptualize these cases, develop an appropriate treatment plan and target sequencing for clients. They will have the competency to provide these adapted protocols in sessions with clients.

We provide 1-3 day Therapy Intensives specially designed for Mental Health providers.
Holistic Peer Consultation, Workshops, and Trainings that recognize the whole clinician while providing a variety of CE hours. This is a collective space that connects providers to resources.
Individual consultation hours can be provided for certification. Group consultations are available to improve upon your BSP skills. My specialties include race-based trauma, ancestral healing, and holistic integration approaches.
